I've been doing a lot of reading lately, and the inspiration for this drawing comes in part from what I've been reading.
Katara and Zuko's postures are drawn from a reference image. Katara's face was the hardest to draw, I hope I captured her right. The background could use more detail tho (curtains look like large bamboo sticks!) I'll end with something I read somewhere (not entirely sure what it means): "And once I touched a broken girl, and knew that marble bled." - J E Flecher Avatar & its characters belong to Mike, Brian, Nick, Viacom, etc. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Oh, and on the curtains, less definition between the folds will make it look more like one piece of fabric rather (the thick lines defining each fold make it look segmented).
